Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package directions until just tender. Reserve a small splash of pasta water, then drain.
- While the pasta cooks, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir the garlic powder and salt into the beef.
- Pour in the marinara sauce and heavy cream, then stir until the sauce is smooth and evenly combined.
- Add the drained pasta shells and toss until every shell is coated. Stir in a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce feels too thick.
- Sprinkle in the cheddar cheese and stir over low heat until melted and creamy. Serve while hot.
