Ingredients
- 2 slices bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat until melted.
- Place the bread slices in the pan and let them toast lightly on one side.
- Flip the bread and crack an egg onto each slice, keeping it centered.
- Season with salt and black pepper, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Cover the pan and cook until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the pan and let it cool slightly before serving.
