Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin tray with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, then mix until fully combined.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until the batter is smooth.
- Fill each liner about two-thirds full so they have room to rise.
- Bake until the tops are lightly golden and spring back when touched.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before adding frosting.
