Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, honey, and the browned butter until smooth.
  5. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
  6. Grease a cast iron skillet and pour in the batter. Bake until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
