- 6 bone-in chicken thighs
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Season thighs generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear skin-side down in oven-safe skillet until deep golden, flip, then bake 20–25 minutes.
- Meanwhile whisk sauce ingredients together (add cornstarch slurry last).
- Remove thighs from pan. Pour out extra grease, return pan to stove.
- Simmer sauce 2–3 minutes until glossy and thick.
- Add chicken back in and spoon sauce heavily over the top.
